Lauren Hines, CEO

Lauren Hines is the Founder and CEO of Hinesmark Affairs (a subsidiary of Get Wed For Less LLC), Founder and President of Atlanta Wedding & Event Professionals, the Program Manager for Heather Ivy Society, Inc. and the Founder and Executive Director of Love Fest International Inc.

Lauren is a lover of all things event production related. She has been planning events since 2003 and weddings since 2009. Lauren entered the bridal industry by creating the disrupter brand Get Wed For Less® after planning her own wedding and recognizing the need for high quality, accessible market offerings. As the creator and partner of numerous events-based and bridal initiatives, Lauren provides planning resources and solutions to engaged couples, business opportunities for the professional, and environments where both clients and vendors can interact.

Lauren loves fostering partnerships that lead to meaningful relationships and profitable results. As the President of Atlanta Wedding & Event Professionals, she labors in love, bringing the wedding and event, nonprofit, and entertainment industries together for incredible industry productions, such as ATLANTA HIGH FASHION | BRIDALTM.

As the Executive Director for Love Fest International, she leads the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization on a mission to help people establish and cultivate healthy marriages and benefit communities in need through collaboration with other nonprofits. By equipping and supporting couples and communities, Love Fest works with its sustainability partners to build stronger tomorrow.

Within Heather Ivy Society, Lauren oversees the support group and program management for the nonprofit organization, which serves underserved women who are living with HIV/AIDS. She plans the organization’s in-person and virtual events and oversees the execution of Heather Ivy’s strategic plan with the core team.

In her personal time, Lauren enjoys doing ministry at her local church. Her most significant, legacy-impacting roles are that of wife to her husband and mother to three inspiring, brilliant children. Lauren’s work has been featured in Modern Luxury WEDDINGS, Essence Magazine, The Budget Savvy Bride, The Daily Herald, Black Bride, MunaLuchi Bride, Washington Informer, The Baltimore Times, blogs, and other respected media platforms.

Dr. Joy Beckwith

Dr. Joy Beckwith is a clinical psychologist, television and radio expert, speaker, and college professor. Dr. Joy, as she is affectionately known, is a graduate of Spelman College and Emory University School of Medicine, where she served as the chief clinician.

Dr. Joy has been featured and served as a guest columnist for a number of magazines such as Forbes, Essence, Oprah, and Women’s Health, where she writes about mental wellness, healthy relationships, and the mind-body connection. Her longstanding passion for the community,  wellness, and mental health has allowed her to make contributions to and appearances on CNN, HLN, A&E’s Intervention, the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Mentoring Camp, The Village Market ATL, and the OWN Network.

Dr. Joy’s passion for bridging the gap between the mind-body connection (mental, emotional, and physical health) has afforded her the opportunity to work with professional athletes, executives, and entrepreneurs nationwide. She understands that psychological factors influence personal and professional performance and decisions and she assists individuals in reaching their optimal performance.

As a resident psychology expert, Dr. Joy can be heard weekly, in 32 states, on the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Nightly Spirit,” where listeners get their weekly dose of encouragement and callers can ask for on-air advice regarding their most pressing dilemmas. In addition to Dr. Joy’s busy schedule, she develops seminars and workshops for organizations, conferences, and corporations nationwide.

Dr. Beckwith is a dedicated change agent in her community, serving on a number of community boards geared towards serving individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. She is the recipient of the Richard Morrell Community Service Award and a city proclamation for her volunteerism. In 2018, she was given the Key to the City and inducted into her hometown’s Hall of Fame for her professional pursuit of excellence and service to others. Professionally, Dr. Joy is the co-founder of the Carrefour Psychological Health Institute in Atlanta, Georgia and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching football, cooking, and traveling.
